The Multifaith Action Society unequivocally condemns the senseless act of violence and hatred that claimed 50 lives this past Friday at the al Noor and Linwood Mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand. We want to express our deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and injured, and assure the Muslim community that we stand with you in solidarity at this most difficult time. We embrace all religions, and are steadfast in our belief that dialogue and cooperation between people of different cultures provides the antidote to fear and hatred. Our hope is that this tragic incident will serve as a catalyst in bringing people of all nations together to condemn all manner of extremism and violence, and to help us grow in our capacity to treat others with unconditional love, respect, and understanding.
