Interested in Hosting an Interfaith Dialogue Event? We Want to Partner With You!

The Multifaith Action Society of BC is interested in partnering with places of worship, immigrant and multicultural service organizations, and/or educational institutions within the Lower Mainland who may be interested in hosting an interfaith dialogue forum event between September, 2019 and February, 2020.

The working title of the project is “Reimagining Peace and Harmony: One World, Many Faiths”, and our intention is to create safe spaces for participants of different spiritual and cultural backgrounds to engage in constructive, forward-oriented dialogue on the potential of spirituality and spiritually-oriented people and organizations to engender peace and harmony in an increasingly divided world.

We have received a modest grant from the Province of British Columbia’s Multiculturalism Grant Program in support of this project, so please rest assured that we are not asking for any sort of financial or material contribution – at this point, we are looking for partners who may be able to help us provide any one or more of the following:

  • A publicly-accessible venue with a capacity for 100 or more people and a willingness to open their doors to a diverse range of participants;
  • A keynote speaker who you believe may have a valuable perspective to share (there are financial honorariums available for this);
  • Assistance in publicizing the events to their communities and wider networks.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be showcase the unique history and culture of your community or the valuable work being undertaken by your organization while taking part in a broader social movement advocating for true interfaith dialogue and cooperation.

If you are interested or would like further information, please contact Marcus Hynes, Operations Manager, at admin@multifaithaction.org or 604-321-1302.

Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
